Cowboy hat and boots with guitar in country music settingSome of  the most legendary country musicians have stopped in the Smoky Mountains for a performance and a chance to enjoy the mountain air and peaceful atmosphere. This year, Pigeon Forge theater Country Tonite will be hosting a long line up of legends, beginning with a country music queen.

The full 2014 Celebrity Concert Series schedule includes the Oak Ridge Boys, John Anderson, Ronnie Milsap and more. To kick off the series, Country Tonite will be welcoming legendary country and western singer Loretta Lynn as the first of the celebrity performers this spring.

Born Loretta Webb in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, Lynn married husband Oliver Lynn, Jr. in 1948 and was encouraged to pursue music. Since her first record in 1960, she has spent much of her career tackling women’s issues, pushing boundaries and was even censored by radio stations.

Her career has spanned more than 50 years, with 60 albums and nearly 50 millions albums sold worldwide. Lynn’s Pigeon Forge concert will be at the Country Tonite Theater on April 26 at 8:00pm. Tickets are for $44.50 plus tax.
