A Water Park in the Smoky Mountains

When it comes to vacationing in the Smoky Mountains, not many people think about water parks. That makes sense since there are so many natural attractions to explore. However, there is a water park in Pigeon Forge, and it goes by the name Dollywood’s Splash Country. 

You might recognize the name Dollywood. Excluding parks in Orlando, this is the largest theme park in the South. Dollywood’s Splash Country is located directly across from Dollywood. You could just visit one of the parks, but getting a Splash & Play ticket is highly recommended. This will allow you to save money. The Splash & Play ticket is for Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country, which are the two biggest attractions in Pigeon Forge.

The best way to visit Pigeon Forge is to plan a week-long vacation. This will allow you to see Dollywood, Dollywood’s Splash Country and all other Pigeon Forge attractions. To do this right, though, it would be wise to consider Gatlinburg lodging. There is lodging in Pigeon Forge as well, but that’s a little more expensive. With Gatlinburg right down the street, it would make a lot of sense to browse through Gatlinburg condos to see which one is best for you. If a condo is too high-end for a country vacation, then you can also look into Gatlinburg cabins. These are a little more rustic yet still impeccably maintained. Not only that, but in most cases, the views are unbeatable. You will likely either be on a mountainside or on a river.

When it’s time to visit Dollywood’s Splash Country, be ready for a wild river-like adventure. From massive waterslides to a water rollercoaster to a kiddie area to a whitewater rafting adventure, you’re sure to have a blast. This park offers 30 acres of country fun and there are even relaxation areas for adults. 

If you combine Gatlinburg lodging with Pigeon Forge attractions, then you will be well on your way toward a very memorable vacation.
