Visitors have come to expect family fun with a focus on quality entertainment at Dollywood, and 2013 will be no exception. The theme park has many new shows lined up as well as Tennessee’s first “watercoaster” River Rush in Dollywood's Splash Country. River Rush stands four stories tall and carries riders through four drops — the first is 25 feet — dark tunnels, twists and turns and even surprisingly powerful climbs.
Of course the rides visitors have come to love are also ready and waiting, especially the Wild Eagle — the only coaster of its kind in the United States. The Wild Eagle positions riders on “wings” so that there is no structure either above or below the rider. Another returning family favorite is the Gazillion Bubbles show that combines millions of bubbles with laser lights, leaving audiences enthralled. And, of course, Dollywood’s Christmas Carol has become a tradition by adding a country twist to a literary classic.
In addition to the brand new River Rush attraction, Dollywood welcomes many new shows to the 2013 season.
