When you travel to Gatlinburg you'll probably be so amazed at all there is to do you won't know where to begin! One thing you won't have to worry about is how to get to the attractions. Gatlinburg's trolley system is quite convenient and very affordable. They even offer an online trolley locator so you can use your phone to know exactly where the trolleys are at any given time.
Let's take a look at how the trolleys work and where you can go when you ride. The Gatlinburg trolley system is based on 7 routes. Each route is color coded and each of these trolley routes brings you to and from specific attractions around town. You can see a trolley route map here to learn more. We'll provide a brief recap of the routes and the highlights of where they go:
Blue route: This is the East Parkway/Community Center route. It goes on Parkway to East Parkway and then to the Gatlinburg Community Center. Fare is 50 cents, exact change required.
Purple route: On this trolley you will go to the North Parkway and Spur Welcome Center. Depart Gatlinburg's Park and Ride lot and complete the route at the Mass Transit Center. Fare is 50 cents, exact change required.
Red route: This route serves the River Road and Convention Center. Fare is 50 cents, exact change required.
Green route: Serves passengers who wish to reach the Historic Nature Trail and the Convention Center. This is a seasonal route that in 2015 will run from May 1 - November 28. Fare is 50 cents, exact change required.
Yellow route: Takes riders to the popular Arts and Crafts Community. This is a seasonal route that in 2015 runs from April 3 - December 30. Fare is one dollar all day, exact change required.
Pink route: This route takes passengers to Dollywood. Check the route schedule for days and times specific to this route. Fare is one dollar each way, exact change required.
Tan route: Serves passengers who wish to ride to the National Park. This is a seasonal route. In 2015 it will run from June 1 - October 31, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Fare is two dollars round trip, exact change required.
