The Smoky Mountains Want To Welcome You Back

If you have been waiting to visit the Great Smoky Mountains until things started to open back up, the time has come!  On May 9th, the Great Smoky Mountains announced the reopening of parts of the park. 

These areas include Newfound Gap Road and the ever-popular Cades Cove loop road. Public restrooms at Sugarlands Visitor Center, Cable Mill and Abrams Falls in Cades Cove, and Newfound Gap are also open. Public picnic areas at Chimney Tops, Metcalf Bottoms, and Cades Cove, among others, are also open.   

Which Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg Businesses Are Open? 

The Island in Pigeon Forge is open, including rides (minus the ropes course and tram), shops, and limited dining in restaurants. Extra sanitizing precautions are being taken and guests are encouraged to social distance while enjoying the amenities.  Other Pigeon Forge businesses open for your enjoyment include Crave Golf Club, Parrot Mountains, Fun Stop Action Center, Speed Zone Fun Park, Adventure Bluff, Paula Deens Lumberjack Adventure, Top Jump Trampoline Center, and The Track.

Gatlinburg is not only starting to return to normal, but the city has taken extra precautions to ensure that visitors can practice safe social distancing. In downtown Gatlinburg, you will find expanded sidewalks that allow plenty of space to enjoy your favorite little mountain town.
