Very nice and peaceful and beautiful views up and down the river great place to get away and relax
  • - 10/1/2023

We had an amazing family trip. Everything was great
  • - 7/17/2023

We typically take a trip somewhere in NC/VA/TN each summer to tent camp on the river. This property exceeded our expectations! We often resort to campgrounds and have found that we prefer something a little more remote. This property fit ours needs perfectly! Everything was exactly as described in the listing. We did not expect luxury with planning a camping trip but the little cabin was awesome. I am 33 weeks pregnant and wanted something with a little AC and not an air mattress. The rest of the family stayed in tents. The Queen bed was much more comfortable than expected & the kitchenette (and all supplies provided) were perfect! We loved the sheds and trees on the property as this provided a ton of shade and shelter from possible storms. We were able to move most of the belongings we were concerned with under shelter unlike traditionally when everything almost everything gets soaked. The property owner stayed in touch with me consistently and replied within 10 minutes. They even thought to add a cellular booster and wifi. We still stayed on our phones a limited amount but that was nice to stay in contact with them and our family at home. The outhouse had all the basics you need. We chanced kayaking from Wolf Creek bridge to the property and realized this was not a good section of river for smaller children and a Good Samaritan picked me up to grab our truck! The access to the river was amazing! We stayed in beach chairs while the kids played. We will definitely be back!!!

Directions to the place was very detailed. Peaceful piece of heaven on the river. For us it was in the middle of where our family lives and town if we needed anything. Will definitely be booking again.

Jason, our host was amazing. Very accommodating and just an awesome person. Our stay was great. I can’t wait to return. Thank you

Our 2nd trip and we could not have asked for anything more. This little piece of heaven is a must visit!!!!!!!

This property is amazing. The view by the water and peacefulness of it all was hard to leave. The owners did 100% at accurately describing and detailing this rental. If you're looking for hotel comfort this is a NO (outdoor shower / outhouse) but if you're looking for privacy, relaxation by the edge of the river a Huge Yes. The outdoor shower will grow on ya if you're not use this kinda thing and going to a huge outhouse.....They are truly not that bad. The bed was comfortable, and the owners had everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay inside the cabin which is bigger than expected inside. Very clean and tidy. The layout of this property has all you need to get away from it all... from the swing by the river reading a good book or fishing to watching TV under a covered patio/fireplace area while the rain hit the tin roof. If I could rate this rental more than a 5 star review, I would. Cannot wait to plan our next stay here with the kids. It is a picture of perfection looking out from the rocking chair on the porch. Absolutely loved this rental.

Wonderful little weekend getaway! The property was just as described, and the host was wonderful. My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary weekend and plan to bring the kids back next time.

The property is exactly as described. The sound of the river is absolutely priceless. The cabin was perfect and the exterior amenities are everything you would want or need. We can't wait until our next booking here. 10 out of 10!!!!

My girlfriend and I loved our stay. Our dog did as well. I thought the room was better than pictured. We didn't need it, but the host provided everything anybody could want. Delightful, relaxing place to stay.

We are so excited about this property, the location, the amenities, the communication, and how easy every step of the process has been. We'll be going back as much as we can. We had a weekend whitewater paddling trip staying at the property and it was perfect in every way. The group camped outside and the bathroom and kitchen were all we needed. We paddled the section of river that the property is on Saturday and Sunday. It couldn't have been more convenient. We're excited to use the property for all of our programming this summer.

Rustic but has everything you need for a great time. Very cool location with lots to do. The owner was super helpful and responsive. We'll be back for sure!

Most enjoyable and very practical for our group of 9-10 canoeing course. Accommodation is simple and complete. Jason has worked hard on the property and it shows. Hew is also immediately available when needed. Thanks for a great 'base' for our program and we look forward to coming back.

This is a roomy, tidy compound property with great river frontage and views of East Tennessee mountains. Far enough from town that the night sky stops you on the way from the car to the house. This is no ‘creek side cabin’ near Gatlinburg. The French Broad is your persistent neighbor on the south side, fascinating you from the porch and sometimes easing up into the yard, singing all night. The river is a great reason to stay here but has to be respected. The owner has done a great deal of work to provide a comfortable experience. There are well lit paths to the extra cabin and the bathroom. There are multiple places to enjoy being outside while protected from rain or wind. You can sit in front of a fireplace or around a campfire. The riverside swing is a treat. If you must have a five star hotel, keep driving. But if you want to really live by the river, with the wind, the stars, the mountains looming right there, and the constant call of the water, this is a great spot. After a few hours even the highway is an afterthought

We enjoyed every minute of our stay here! The hosts were very responsive and thoughtful. They left a note and a toy for my little boy after I sent them a picture of the cabin he’d drawn. The cabin was decorated for Christmas, it was so cute, and my kids loved it! If you’re contemplating staying here, do it, you won’t regret it! It’s absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back!
  • - 10/25/2021

Cozy, scenic and very private! Cabin and kitchen are well equipped. We enjoyed the fire place, swing on the river and the outdoor shower!! We can’t wait to visit again!! Thank you!!
  • - 9/11/2021

Great place to enjoy cookouts with the family. Good time fishing and some tubing.
  • - 7/31/2021

Excellent property very well described by owner. Long river frontage with gentle slope to the river. Nice calm spot to take out kayaks right in front of the cabin. Make sure to use the covered deck with the fireplace. The property owner was great and very helpfull. Very nice stay.
  • - 7/28/2021

This place was wonderful, if your looking for a getaway to nature, this is it. Butterflies and bumble bees. Even in the dead of summer it didn't feel that hot, very shaded. Most definitely will be going back!
  • - 7/16/2021

Absolutely stunning views. Great property literally steps from the river! Will stay here again! Owners seemed to think of all the small but important things. Perfect for all ages. Steps are steep though :)
  • - 6/25/2021

Can't say enough good things about our stay here. We enjoyed our time together as a family. Spent most of our time outside by the water. We were able to catch fish and just over all make memories together. Best part had to be seeing our little ones running and catching fireflies. Definitely already taking about going back next year. Jason thank you for such great communication and hospitality!!
  • - 6/13/2021

Host were very easy to communicate with and answered all questions promptly. Made great recommendations for must sees while there!
