Fall Asleep in Front of the Fire on Your Winter Vacation

Few things are more relaxing than curling up in front of a crackling fire and dozing off as snowflakes flit past your window. Nowadays, most houses do not come with fireplaces, though, making this scene seem more like something out of a storybook. Why not bring the stories to live at one of our cabins in the Smokies? Some of the coziest spots are our cabins with fireplaces, which are great for romantic getaways or family vacations. Here are a few of our favorites.

Cozy Cabins in the Smokies

For a quiet woodland hideaway, choose Wildwood Dreams, which has a stone fireplace as the centerpiece of a warm and welcoming living room. Snuggle up on one of the two overstuffed couches in front of the fire and take advantage of the huge wide-screen television for a peaceful night in. The cathedral ceilings above are great for letting in the morning light and, should you be tempted to stay in all day, the loft has a pool table and air hockey beside floor-to-ceiling windows.

If you are thinking of doing some fishing on vacation or just like the sound of a babbling brook, Angel’s Corner offers a serene option with Appalachian charm. Less than 10 yards from a mountain stream, this rustic cabin is on flat ground, making it easy to access from the drive or stream. It has a full kitchen and charcoal grill, too, so if your fishing is successful, you can cook your catch right there and enjoy the pleasant setting through the kitchen window.

Romantic Getaways Are Better in Our Cabins in the Smokies

For the ultimate in romantic getaways, choose Yep, This Is It!, an incredible space that is sure to kindle your love. In terms of cabins with fireplaces, few can beat the master bedroom, with its round four-poster king bed with canopy in front of a wide stacked-stone fireplace. There is also a heart-shaped jacuzzi nearby, offering plenty of opportunities for alone time together.

Make sure to allow time to go to the back deck, which a panoramic view you can enjoy from the hot tub, hammock, or porch furniture. There are two bedrooms if you are planning a couples’ getaway or bringing children, with pool and air hockey tables for a little friendly competition.

More Than Just Cabins with Fireplaces

Luxurious and brand-new Bear Pause II has a beautiful fireplace, with three floors of windows beside it. Curl up on the wrap-around leather sofa in front of the flickering flames and watch the sun set and stars come out through the windows. A large flat-screen television is perched above, while the fully equipped kitchen and dining room are easily accessed behind.

The cabin seems almost to take flight on its ridge and it would be impossible to tire of the jaw-dropping vistas from its various porches. Enjoy the view from your bedroom, the porch, or even the hot tub. The master suite has a king bedroom, spacious walk-in shower, and free-standing bath. Meanwhile, the upstairs lounge has a minibar and a regulation pool table, plus another sitting area, offering plenty of room for up to six.
